Scholarship Opportunities

Student members have two great scholarship opportunities:
1. The Arizona Chapter of HSMAI offers scholarship opportunities to student members. Amounts vary. Please contact Joanne Winter for more information at 602-240-5552.

Internships and Temporary Sales Help

Our Student Relations Committee brings together students wanting to fulfill internships or participate in temporary sales assignments such as sales blitzes, research projects and more, with industry professionals committed to helping students learn about the Hospitality industry through first-hand experience.

Student of the Year Award

The Student of the Year Award was added to the Annual Holiday Party awards in 2005. It is presented to a student member who recognizes the importance of getting involved with an industry association and building those relationships that will help them with their educational and career advancement.

Amy DeLano is a new member of the revived NAU Student Club. She is enthusiastic, energetic and is interested in building a strong base for the continued success of the Club in years to come. She has spear-headed the revitalization efforts as the current NAU Student Club President.

Student Club of Greater Phoenix

In the Fall of 2005 we will be starting a combined Student Club with students of Hospitality programs from all the Greater Phoenix and Southern Arizona colleges. Their goal will be to share ideas, bring in industry speakers to help with career opportunities and education, and develop the mentoring and internship programs.If you are interested in more information, please call Larry Lesser at (480) 991-5830.
