Short Bio: I grew up in Mazatlan, Mexico and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada at the age of ten. I am fluent in both English and Spanish. I completed four years in the Academy of Hospitality & Tourism in Valley high school. While in my four years of high school I was a member of AP Society, National Honor Society, DECA, Society of Latinos, Key Club, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), and Student Council. My senior year I was Student Council class secretary, Vice President of National Honor Society, Vice President of Marketing for DECA and FBLA, and an active member in all the other clubs. I am a freshman in Northern Arizona University and I am majoring in International Hospitality Management. I am already involved in several clubs in NAU such as: Collegiate DECA, HSMAI, and Club Managers Association America (CMAA). I am the CMAA chapter secretary this year, and would like to pursue officer position in HSMAI as well. During my stay in NAU I would love to pursue internship positions in hotels or club management. I am very interested in becoming either a front-desk manager or guest service manager for a hotel and work my way up to General Manager one day.

Short Bio: I am a sophomore at NAU. I am going from a bachelor science degree in International Hospitality Management, with a minor in Business. I have worked in the restaurant industry for many years, and now I am looking to try and get into the hotel side of the industry. I am looking for a job in more of the event planning part of the hotels, but also I think I would like working in the food and beverage side of the hotel as well.

Short Bio: I am currently seeking my Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management at SCC and NAU. I work full time in a government position as a Computer Specialist where I have gained 25 years of computer technology experience. I am driven to provide outstanding customer service. I started my own travel agency, Great Escapes Travel, in 2004 and have earned my IATAN. I have achieved the Luxury Cruise Specialist designation by the cruise industry standards and am currently seeking my Masters. I am an active board member for the Arizona Chapter of the American Society of Travel Agents. I am certified tourism ambassador for the Greater Phoenix area since 2008.

Short Bio: My name is Kim Schroeder, and I am the current HSMAI Collegiate Chapter president for Northern Arizona University. I have been the President for the past 1 ½ year, and won the student of the year award for HSMAI- AZ chapter in 2009. I am graduating college in December (in 3 ½ years) from Northern Arizona University with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management and looking to obtain a position in Resorts working either F&B, Events, or in the Recreation department. I started working in the hospitality industry (4 years ago) the summer before my senior year of high school, where I worked at the Westin Kierland Resort in Scottsdale where I have worked seasonally ever since.
